Usher Celtic all set for showdown in the west with Fairview Rangers for FAI Junior Cup title

By EAMON SCOTT

USHER CELTIC manager Wes Doyle reported a clean bill of health as his side wound down their preparations for Saturday’s New Balance FAI Junior Cup final against Fairview Rangers of Limerick.

The squad trained at Memorial Park in Islandbridge this evening with a light workout for the players who will travel west on Friday in advance of Saturday’s game at Eamon Deacy Park where there is a 2pm kick-off.

With Covid-19 restrictions barring spectators attending the showpiece occasion, STRIKERONLINE will broadcast a LIVESTREAM of the game from the stadium ensuring that if you can’t attend in person, you won’t miss any of the action. You will be able to access the stream from Strikeroline’s FACEBOOK page.

Usher Celtic won the title back in 1988 but opponents Fairview Rangers from the Limerick League are the genuine aristocrats of the competition having won all eight finals they have appeared in and are going for a record ninth national crown.

WE will also have live updates on Facebook and Twitter during the course of Saturday’s match.

WE WILL Have a brief report on Strikeronline with a full report along with photos and post match reaction in eSTRIKER which will publish on Monday, September 21 (€2.49 per edition).
