Pike Rovers advanced to the semi-finals of the Lawson Cup with a clinical 4-0 win over fellow Premier side Prospect Priory this morning.
Steven McGann, Jonathan Grant, Paddy O’Malley and Colin Daly netted for the Hoops who were 1-0 up at half time.
Pike, the defending Munster Junior Cup (MJC) champions, will meet Newmarket Celtic in the semi-finals of the MJC at home on April 28.
The provincial top dogs are lying in second spot in the Premier League table, seven points behind Janesboro but with two games in hand.
Meanwhile, the Limerick District League (LDL) were celebrating on Saturday after beating the Leinster Senior League in the last four-of the Oscar Traynor Cup.
The LDL, which is the entire Janesboro squad and management, won 3-2 after extra-time, courtesy of goals from Adrian Power, Keith Mawdsley and Ryan Doherty. They’ll meet Kilkenny or Galway in the final.
The LDL last won the Oscar Traynor Cup almost a quarter of a century ago.
The LDL minor team are also through to the Inter-County Youth Cup final and meet Waterford at Jackman Park on April 21.
