Hartnett calls for special SFAI EGM to discuss playing season parameters

Padraig Harnett, Secretary of the Kerry Schoolboys League has issued a response to the DDSL decision to revert to the traditionl September to May season.

Padraig Hartnett writes: “Every Schoolboys League in the country now needs clarity immediately.

“Does the decision that all Leagues are to move to Calendar Year Football still stand?

“As far as I am concerned until told otherwise that decision still stands despite whatever the DDSL or any other League informs the SFAI.

“Surely this decision cannot be changed because one League says it is not cooperating??
Where does the leave the Leagues that moved last season in good faith?
What are the last number of Leagues that are just about to start a short season in just over two months to do??

“I now call on the SFAI to convene a one item EGM / Special Meeting ASAP with the Chair, Secretary and Council Member of every League to sort this out. “
