GLENGAD UNITED’S recent dominance in the Inishowen League has been broken thanks to an imperious show of attacking football by Greencastle FC.
Greencastle FC have just taken the league title off Glengad United who have won it for the previous four seasons and who recently made in through to the FAI New Balance Junior Cup semi final before falling to St Michael’s of Tipperary.
Greencastle’s form has also held up on the cup front with an Ulster Junior Cup success over Glengad leaving them with a possible treble which has never been done in the club before
Victims in the quarter-final of the Credit Union Cup were none other than Glengad with Greencastle romping home on a four-nil scoreline to confirm the shift in Inishowen power firmly towards the newly crowned
Jackie Crossan premier division winners.
