By BERNARD O’NEILL

Ross Mann notched the only goal of the second half after both sides were tied at 2-2 at the break.

James Fitzgerald and AJ O’Connor were also on target for the View with Pa Mullins and Colin Daly netting for the Hoops in the last domestic game of the season.

Pike, who went the entire season unbeaten in the league,  beat Aisling Annacotty last Tuesday in their final Premier League game of the season. But it wasn’t enough to stop Janesboro winning their third title on the bounce.

The Boro beat Ballynanty Rovers 2-0 on the night, courtesy of goals Shane Clarke and Adrian Power, and the Limerick Institute of Technology. That victory saw the Boro finished the season on top of the table, one point clear of Pike.

The title win sealed a unique double for the Pearse Stadium boys as the entire Janesboro squad and staff represented the Limerick District League which won the Oscar Traynor Cup this season.

Jonathan Grant and Ian Fletcher were on target for Pike against Aisling in mid-week.
