ELLIS HAT-TRICK AS BALLYNANTY HIT SEVEN PAST NENAGH IN PREMIER ROUT

By BERNARD ‘O’NEILL

CONNOR ELLIS hit another hat-trick as Ballynanty Rovers thrashed Nenagh 7-0 in the Limerick Premier League this morning.

Ellis, a former Limerick FC striker, claimed the match ball and two-goal Adrian Power, Derek Daly and Kevin Nolan were also on target for the high-flying Northsiders in a one-sided victory.

Meanwhile, newly promoted Coonagh United recorded their first win of the season after putting two without reply past Regional United. Ger Myles netted both goals against Regional who were unbeaten going into the game.

Pike Rovers put seven without response past Prospect Priory this morning with Colin Daly (2) Conor Kavanagh (2) Stephen McGann, Shane Walsh and Eoin Hanrahan doing the business for the Hoops who were 3-0 up at half time.

Pike needed a late equaliser from Evan Patterson at the Fairgreen on Thursday night versus Fairview Rangers. The View, courtesy of Jeffrey Judge, were 1-0 but Patterson headed home late on to salvage a point.

Defending champions Janesboro encountered little resistance versus Kilmallock with Aaron Noonan and Aidan Hurley netted a brace apiece in a 4—0 victory this morning, while Geraldines continued their impressive start to the season with a 3-1 win over Mungret.

Two-goal Kevin Barry and Danny O’Neill were on target for the Dines. Aisling Annacotty and Fairview Rangers shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw.

Jeffrey Judge and Dermot Fitzgerald got amongst the scorers from Rangers, while Nathan O’Callaghan netted two penalties for last season’s FAI Junior Cup semi-finalists.
