FAIRVIEW Rangers made it nine wins from nine FAI Junior Cup finals and consolidated their position as the most successful club in the competition’s history with a 1-0 victory over Usher Celtic at Eamonn Deacy Park Galway this afternoon.

In a tight game of few chances the decisive goal came in the 77th minute when Clyde O’Connell rose to head home a James Fitzgerald free-kick delivery from the right.
Try as they might Usher couldn’t bring about the goal that would have forced extra-time and Jeffrey Judge lifted the cup for Fairview in the end.
