Baldoyle United announce affiliate club link with Shamrock Rovers

BALDOYLE United FC recently announced that it is now an official ‘affiliate club’ of League of Ireland champions Shamrock Rovers. Both clubs wear the famous green and white hoops and the announcement was made ahead of the return to non-contact training for under 18 sports on 26 April.

It will mean a number of things for Baldoyle Untied including coaches from Shamrock Rovers working with their Baldoyle counterparts to further develop coaching techniques to a professional level for both the boys and girls sections, and from the small sided-games to the 11-a-side game levels.

Baldoyle United Chair Dermot Penrose said:

“This is another part of the development of the club. Our aim is to provide high quality coaching to our young players to ensure they meet their potential.  We are impressed with the commitment from Rovers to youth development in both their Academy and underage structures. We look forward to our young players benefitting from the wealth of talent, knowledge and professionalism at Shamrock Rovers.”

Information on how to join Baldoyle United and its Junior Academy every Saturday morning is available on the club’s website:  www.baldoyleunited.ie
